CIT Costs Tax Payers 2.8 Billion

The federal government has officially given away 2.8 billion which will never be recouped. How much more will we lose? The Obama administration thinks this is no big deal! In-fact, they appear to be very pleased with their loss!

Look, 2.8 billion dollars is a huge sum of money. We could build hundreds of schools and pay thousands of educators for hundreds of years. So why are we acting as though this historic loss is no big deal? I want my money back now! We need to have some kind of hearings and demand that restitution is paid immediately.

I wrote all the morons in the senate, and congress. I warned that their haphazard practices with our money would come at great losses. They responded to my inquiry with crap template responses which basically stated that they were smarter than I, and that they were going to waste our money how they saw fit.

Wake up America, these morons are ripping you off! I remember watching the errogant Neel Kashkari roll his eyes during a commettie hearing about how funds were being wasted. Mr Kashkari was insulted that anyone would ask him about how he wasting trillions of dollars. Well, now we know, we're going to lose BIG.

Are You Kidding Me? POLITICO Crap!

Are you serious POLITICO, are you really running this crap? Sure, these guys are on the right, so what! Who is POLITICO to determine the future of the republican party based on radio comments? POLITICO nothing more than a sounding board for Democrats. I know of no republicans who are upset with, or in danger of not voting republican due to any remarks by any flamboyant conservative activists.

Trembling LOL, POLITICO is a joke!

"Many top Republicans are growing worried that the party’s chances for reversing its electoral routs of 2006 and 2008 are being wounded by the flamboyant rhetoric and angry tone of conservative activists and media personalities, according to interviews with GOP officials and operatives. "

Health Care 2.0

My family does not want your health care reform. We don't need it and we just don't want it!

"The 10-year, $856 billion package would extend coverage to about 29 million Americans who lack it now and institute insurance market reforms, such as prohibiting higher premiums for women or the denial of coverage to sick people. It would make almost everyone buy insurance or pay a fee, give subsidies to the poor to help them buy coverage and create new online exchanges where small businesses and people without government or employer-provided insurance could shop for plans and compare prices."

SAY NO TO PROPOSITION HEALTH CARE!

Health Care, President Obama Addresses Eager Crowd of Liberals

Today President Obama set out to convince a New Hampshire crowd of eager liberals that his health care plan was sound. The New Hampshire liberals listened intently and asked only questions President Obama could understand, and defend. President Obama swiftly read from his teleprompter the and the crowd was satisfied.

Now for reality, President Obama addressing a crowd of eager supporters, who do not represent America, does not prove Americans support his health care reform. It only proves that his pampas liberal elitist attitude is bigger than we thought. President Obama, we do not want your health care overhaul. We want things to remain as they are! Currently those who pay in, get excellent health care! Why would we want to change that?

Democratic Committee Clears Democrats of Ethics Violations

"The Senate ethics panel cleared Sens. Chris Dodd and Kent Conrad Friday of breaking rules by getting mortgages through a VIP program, but it scolded them for not being more careful to avoid the appearance of sweetheart deals.

The Select Committee on Ethics told Dodd of Connecticut and Conrad of North Dakota in separate letters that it found "no substantial credible evidence" after a year-long investigation that their mortgages from Countrywide Financial Corp. broke Senate gift rules. The two influential Democrats got their mortgages through a VIP program for those designated as "friends" of then-Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo."

Honestly, what the hell? Does it make sense to have a group of democrats review a group of ranking democrats for their ethics violations? In a surprising revelation the democratic committee found no wrong doing by the democrats in question. These same democrats are reviewing banking violators for bailout waste, fraud and abuse. The same people who helped democrats get elected! We need to get rid of these fraudsters!

Herb Kohl Response CARS Cash For Clunkers Health Care Reform

Templates are not good enough!

Dear Mr. Buchen:

Like you, I have been following the debate over the Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS), also known as "cash for clunkers." As you know, CARS has proved to be so popular that, in just the past few weeks, consumers have claimed vehicle purchase vouchers equal to the program's entire $1 billion funding level.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), which administers the CARS program, reported that the quarter-of-a-million vehicles purchased with CARS vouchers get an average of 25.4 miles-per-gallon (mpg), a 61% improvement in fuel economy over the vehicles traded-in. This saves individual drivers between $700 and $1,000 per year in gasoline. It has also stimulated auto sales-Ford reported its first monthly sales increase of the year-while taking a quarter of a million high-polluting vehicles off the road. Traded-in vehicles are scrapped and their steel parts recycled, which is far cheaper than producing new steel. Furthermore, auto dealers have reported that consumers, by a 2-to-1 margin, are claiming the larger $4,500 vouchers to purchase cars at least 10mpg more efficient than the trade-ins. Around 83% of buyers traded in trucks either for more fuel-efficient trucks or for cars, which pollute less than trucks.

While I am encouraged by both the economic and environmental impact of this program, I also recognize that the decrease in greenhouse gas emissions due to CARS is relatively small compared to the total volume of greenhouse gases emitted in the United States. It is fair to ask whether this small decrease is worth a significant investment of government funds.

The House of Representatives recently designated another $2 billion for CARS from renewable energy funding in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, commonly known as the "stimulus" bill. After carefully considering the pros and cons, I voted for this bill in the Senate. I believe the benefits of this program, in improving air quality and in boosting auto sales, represent a worthy investment in our country's long-term economic and environmental health. Clearly, we must do more in the long-run to rebuild our domestic auto industry and to transition to clean energy, but the CARS program is a worthy first step.

I appreciate hearing your thoughts on this issue, and whether we agree or disagree, please be assured that I will always consider the varied opinions of Wisconsin constituents when voting on legislation. Thank you very much for contacting me.

Sincerely,

Herb Kohl
United States Senator

OK, I'm happy to get a response from one of my Wisconsin representatives, however, it only addressed one issue of my concern. I am not only discouraged with CARS or cash for clunkers. I am very unhappy with the proposed, so called, "improvements" to our health care system, and banking bailout.
Our current health care system works great; why should we change it?
I am not concerned with carbon emissions or their unproven effect on the climate. Our climate will change regardless of what the human race does. To think we can increase or slow down climate change is a very conceited sense of self and displays loose attachment to reality!
I do not have all the answers nor do I have all the information. I do know that the CARS program benefits a few Americans, that's great. However, of the 250,000 Americans benefiting from the CARS program 300,000,000+ are paying for it. That's correct .083% less than 1% of Americans are able to use the program. Give us all a rebate, not just idiots who purchased gas guzzling vehicles!
Who is really going to benefit from the new health care program? I honestly do not know. Certainly many people with no job, and no ambition will be covered under the new plan. Additionally, those who make the choice to avoid employment will also be covered. No doubt, illegal aliens will have access to our once world renowned health care program! Will every day hard working Americans benefit, I think not! Expect your health care to become even more watered down!
Lastly, what about those banks? They were in the most dire straights. Ben Bernanke, and all the other clowns on Wall Street claimed the entire financial system was in collapse! Why is it that these same institutions are claiming record profits and issuing even greater spoils, bonuses? I think the over passionate liberal democrats have majorly screwed this one up. We should expect record breaking inflation over the next several years!

Health Care Reform, Cash For Clunkers

Senator Feingold, Kohl,

You have served our state for many years. I appreciate your service. I am contacting you in regards to President Obama’s proposed health care reform, and the “cash for clunkers” program.
I am sternly against both of these government run programs. Our current health care system has never failed me, or anyone I know in 31 years. My family is not wealthy; however, we have managed to get the health care we need!
I am also contacting you about “cash for clunkers”. I am very disappointed in this program. I fail to recognize its necessity. Why are Americans who foolishly purchased gas guzzling vehicles being rewarded with a $4500 and $3500 rebate? I own a vehicle which gets 22 miles per gallon, but it is old. Shouldn't I be able to get a new vehicle and rebate?
Either all Americans who pay taxes should be getting this $4500/$3500 dollar rebate or none!
Lastly, I have noticed the outstanding performance of bailed out institutions like Goldman Sachs, AIG, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America. If these institutions were in such dire straights a few months ago, how is it they are doing so fabulously today?
Again, I am VERY dissatisfied with the actions members of the senate and house have taken. I firmly believe that in every instance government has over reacted! I am truly saddened at how our government has sold out to big business! Please share this with your fellow colleagues from Wisconsin.
